A cleverly named listening room is now offering something new to the Chicago area. The area’s newest live music destination, Hey Nonny, is about a half hour from Vernon Hills, making it a great option for date night or ladies night out.
Founded by Chip Brooks and Chris Dungan, Hey Nonny features live music and a lively farm-to-table Gastropub. The local hot spot hosted its grand opening weekend late last month, featuring the talents of several local, regional and national performers.
“We’re thrilled to announce this great group of musical acts almost two months before we open,” said Hey Nonny co-owner Chris Dungan. “We’re covering the musical waterfront: rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk, cabaret, country, and pop.”
Located in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights, just steps from the Arlington Heights Metra station, Hey Nonny consists of two unique spaces: a music venue accommodating up to 150 audience members and a 66-seat Gastropub.
The venue will showcase performers from a variety of genres including rock, pop, reggae, country, blues, jazz, cabaret, classical, folk and more, and allow guests to enjoy a localized, seasonal, and unique farm-to-table menu and a variety of specialty cocktails.
The Gastropub features creative craft cocktails made with the best ingredients from local distillers as well as local craft beer and wine that would be local if you lived in Sonoma or Bordeaux.
